Road 23 - The Band
Road 23 has been playing together since 2006. They have recorded three CD’s, Shattered Day in 2009, Refuge in 2012, and If I Was There in 2014. Road 23 consists of Tony (guitar), Stevie (vocals, keyboard and guitar), Levi (drums and bass), and Ken Stuerke (piano). Road 23 is great for worship sets at churches, youth groups, fairs, or conferences.
Stevie has been leading worship since 2005 as well as singing at weddings, funerals, and restaurants for many years. Stevie writes songs from her heart that speak of her life experiences. She plays keyboard and guitar and would be great for weddings, funerals, women’s events, worship experiences, and many others needing one-of-a-kind vocals.
The Acoustic Band
Stevie and Tony, along with Levi, formed this dynamic acoustic band in early 2013. In November, 2014, Road 23 released their first ever Christmas CD called, "If I Was There." This CD consists of live, acoustic performances of their favorite Christmas songs as well as two originals. Make sure to take a listen and head over to the merch page to get your own! This acoustic band also performs some original songs as well as a diverse range of cover songs such as “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You,” “Wayfaring Stranger,” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” This band would be great for any venue, Christian or secular, needing incredible vocals with spectacular guitar playing. The Acoustic Band would work great for business parties or meetings, coffee shops, house concerts, restaraunts, laid-back concerts, private events, and any type of venue needing a small, acoustic band. The Acoustic Band has currently been playing for many events around Wichita and can do up to 4 hours of diverse music that will blow you away!
Road 23 Bio
Stevie Warren, along with her family, created the band “Road 23” in 2006 in a small, Southwestern Kansas town called Meade. Stevie, along with her brother, Levi McGee, grew up playing all types of music with their dad, Tony McGee in their garage located on road 23, which is where their band name derives from. After Stevie left for college in 2006, she returned with boyfriend, now husband, Andrew Warren, who added a whole new, incredible dynamic to Road 23. Since the band started, they have recorded three CD’s, “Shattered Day," “Refuge,” and "If I Was There" which features hit radio songs, “You’re Not Alone,” “Fear” and “In Your Hands.” Their brand new CD, If I Was There, which released November 8, 2014 is a compilation of all their favorite Christmas songs along with two original songs. This talented family writes songs that will inspire you and leave you wanting more, which is why they created a new and versatile acoustic band. Stevie claims this to be the avenue she has always wanted to pursue. “I’ve always loved taking incredible songs that people recognize and turning them into a raw, elegant version of who we are as a band.” She also says their acoustic band captures each individual as a musician as well as captivates listeners of all ages and generations. “My heart is absolutely thrilled when you see the faces of people light up when they recognize one of their favorite songs, but hear it in a whole new light. This acoustic band is unproduced and simple but shows off our individual tastes and talents as musicians.”
